Win Thicker than Blood

The winner of last week's game was... Lonnie! She correctly identified me at the Rocky Balboa statue at the Museum of Art in Philadelphia, PA! Lonnie, please e-mail your mailing address to my owner, C.J., at cj at cjdarlington dot com so she can mail you your copy of Troublesome Creek by Jan Watson.

And now for this week:

Where am I? Click to enlarge if necessary. :) Post your guesses in the comments.

This week you could win the book I'm reading, Thicker than Blood!. I'll pick a winner from all the correct ones and announce on March 15th!

  1. Okay, after a little investigation, I'm going to guess the South of the Border Mexican Restaurant on the North Carolina/South Carolina border? Am I right?

I read the first five chapters while hanging out at Barnes & Noble and I love it so far!

  2. I researched a bit too... Fort Pedro, South Carolina.
I was given a hint by seeing the "ORT PEDRO" in the background sign!

I'd love to read your book!

  3. Didn't have to research this one, It's the South of the Border Motel Complex in Hamer, SC.
It's our "overnighter" on our trips to Florida.
    What a fun place.

    Hope I win a book.

  5. South of the Border (on the border of NC and SC). Cheesy place to visit before getting into South Carolina.

    Just finsihed the book-AWESOME!

  6. South of the border is on the border of NC and SC!

Very kid friendly place in a tacky sort of way. The only time we stopped there my daughter ran a fever and by the time we got to Disney World she had strep. Everytime we traveled this happened. That's why I am familiar with the emergency room in some very nice cities.

I just found your website and can't wait to read the book!

  7. That's Pedro, the mascot of Dillon, SC. He's quite a friendly sort of fellow ~ and available on ebay if anyone has grown attached. ;o) He looks to be giving Lance shelter and a cozy place to read.
